Have you heard of an elevated cheese board? We might be way behind the times as we’d never heard of such a term. Thanks to Brian from Image House Furniture who we hosted for dinner last weekend, we’re now in the foodie click. He came bearing gifts including a gorgeous timber elevated cheese plater – custom designed for our DIY dining table (this one here).
Brian explained the process was quite simple. He’d made the board using timber he had in his shed, with two sturdy legs attached using dowel joints. He finished it off by coating in delicious orange oil that has a fantastic citrus smell and is silky soft to touch.
Are you a lover of soft cheeses?
Here’s some inspirational cheese boards and platers to inspire you’re next party (or Friday night at home on the lounge with a glass of red or cocktail).
So tell us, what’s your favourite place to devour soft cheeses?
