We hope you had a lovely Easter long weekend and are making the most of today’s public holiday (in Australia), with high volumes of chocolate and hot-cross-buns.
And if you’re needing to work off the extra calories, maybe you’re hunting around for a DIY project and also have an overgrown garden like this one?
After settlement we’d realised we’d inherited possibly the biggest snake attraction this side of Australia Zoo. It’s taken us approximately 3-months in total to remove thanks to many many friends and family. However the process included two deadly snakes, a snatch strap, 4WD, the tools shown below and even half-a-day of our apprentice’s time and muscle. But we’re so pleased to show you the end result (which includes a working outdoor light if you were curious).
It’s now time to kill and remove the weeds over the back (right) taking over our septic and of course the ugly steel water tank. We’re also on a deadline to design and build another chicken coop before we inherit four laying chickens mid May.
Looks like another working bee may be on the cards?
Thanks very much to everyone who’s helped us with this project!
