A gruelling 20-hour drive saw us pull into the communal drive in Jubilee Pocket, Airlie Beach around 1am on Monday. Due to recent flooding major arterial roads were cut left-right -and-centre and led us to ‘creative’ detour measures, such as 4WD along the Noosa North Shore to avoid Gympie delays (yes, cheeky we know).
Neverless, we F I N A L L Y arrived (with a car smothered in not so lucky bugs) to find our unit in pretty good shape. It’s been tenanted full time since July 2009 (ish) as a permanent rental and has had it’s share of ferals. You see, the region relies heavily on tourism and hence attracts loads of (happy go lucky) transient residents – and in this time I’d say it’s safe to guess we’ve had 15-20 rental agreements (pretty shocking).
So without further chat, come inside our unit 8 of 17 townhouses with all her blemishes (which we we overlook by the amazing Whitsundays location)!
What followed have been two (so far) intense days of planning, maintenance and painting, with loads of before and after pics to be shared with you soon.
